El World Architecture Festival regresa mañana a Barcelona

El World Architecture Festival regresa mañana a Barcelona, por cuarto año consecutivo, para instalarse durante tres días en el CCIB (Centro de Convenciones Internacionales de Barcelona). Considerado uno de los eventos mundiales más destacados del mundo de la arquitectura, incluirá un completo programa de conferencias impartidas por destacadas figuras internacionales, seminarios, presentaciones, un concurso para estudiantes y la entrega de los Premios WAF, con los que se elige al Edificio Mundial del Año.

En esta edición, los galardones se han dividido en tres categorías principales: Edificios Completados, Diseños Estructurales y Proyectos Futuros (para diseños en desarrollo), y cada una de ellas incluye hasta 16 categorías de participación.

El gran jurado que emitirá su voto para elegir al Edificio Mundial del Año está formado por Michael Sorkin, director del estudio Michael Sorkin Studio (Nueva York); Ben van Berkel, co-fundador de UNStudio (Rotterdam); Jo Noero, de Noero Wolff Architects (Ciudad del Cabo); Odile Decq, directora del estudio ODBC (París); y el profesor Kongjian Yu, director del estudio Turenscape (Beijing).
